Lillybeth Melmoth, A Beautiful Education (pro makeup and makeup lessons)
Business overview
Makeup artist Lillybeth is 'a beautiful education.' Through private makeup consultations and small group workshops, Lillybeth shows women how to 'close the gap' between DIY makeup and that of the professionals. At the chemist, department store or salon, most 'makeup lessons' mean the salesperson applies the makeup for you. But Lillybeth's makeup consultations are fully hands on. With the brushes in their hands, Lillybeth's customers apply their own makeover using their best makeup colours and techniques with her expertise as guidance.

"I wanted to have some one on one tutoring to expand my knowledge and upskill on the little I knew already. I really enjoyed my time learning all the skills. Lillybeth made my time fun and educational. She is very encouraging, good at what she does and made me feel comfortable.
Now that I have learnt some new tricks and techniques, when I put my makeup on, I put it on feeling confident the outcome is going to be good, and when finished, I feel much more beautiful.
I would highly recommend Lillybeth and her ‘beautiful education’ service. Lillybeth is down to earth and it makes for a fun day, and you walk away better off with take-home notes you can refer back to, which is a bonus."

"I was in Life Pharmacy on Saturday and the beauty counter lady was very impressed with my eye makeup. Great compliment considering how gorgeous she looked. I told her I had lessons... So take a bow."

PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP:
"I have an unusually complicated complexion. I have an abundance of unused foundations because salespeople in pharmacies and department stores just cannot pick the right shade for me! So I’d written myself off as a lost cause and effectively given up on makeup. As a woman in business I need a professional look, and this includes makeup.
Lillybeth knows the tricks to make a woman look (and feel) great! Lillybeth is a perfectionist. She has a trained eye that most of us don’t have - she really knew how to make the most of my features, while ensuring that I still looked natural. Because I did a follow up with her, I now know how to achieve this look as well. For a devout “makeup-phobe”, this is pretty good progress."

PROUCT RECOMMENDATIONS:
The Mary Kay lippy is so great, great colours and stays on too. It's taken me decades to find a product like this!
I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a good lipstick but they are ALWAYS the wrong colour or don’t last. Chemists sell you crap. They sell you whatever they want you to buy or what is the best-seller for that month or season. Why would they think that these popular colours - what everyone else is wearing - would even suit me? But both of the lipstick colours I bought [from you] are awesome and the lip liner really works.

My point of difference
• My services are fully mobile. I bring my makeup expertise to you in the privacy and convenience of your home or hotel, for both professional makeup application and consultations/lessons.• Unlike at a dermatologist or beauty salon, there's no requirement or pressure to purchase any products or one particular (usually overpriced) brand. The principles I teach are true for all skin and makeup ranges at all price-points.
• My experience is on everyday women, business owners and mature women - not celebrities - so I'm used to covering acne, spots and imperfections (models have those too, though), working with wrinkled and lined skin and being confronted in my work with all the 'joys' of aging.
