What inspired you to start your business?
I was inspired by yoga itself. It’s essential to me that every participant is able to access and incorporate the learning in ways that will work for them.”
Albany yoga room will have been open for 20 years in 2020. I wanted to make sure it was a safe space where people could continue to extend and challenge themselves within their own tolerances to gain a real sense of achievement, peace and resilience.“I want people to say, ‘that felt good’. For some it’s spiritual, for others it’s physical and for many of us; the emphasis shifts from session to session or day today.” My role is to teach and guide and I’m lucky enough to see that transformation as people experience it in their own different ways. That’s why I do what I do. I love it. I think you will too.”

What do you love about running your business?
As a yoga teacher, I like to use my voice to soothes and enlighten while sharing compassionate respect for all. I also believe its important to practice yoga with a great sense of fun. I find running my own business allows me to offer classes in smaller sizes to people who might not find it accessible without our dedicated approach.
What have been some of your biggest challenges?
Market my business to new students who are looking for yoga in the day time. In the evening and in the weekends we find it is so much easier.
